Welcome to Twack Romero’s updated Wealthy Affiliate review. It’s been over a year since I wrote this and it was high time for an update. Time waits for no man, least of all me.
I will prove to be a veritable renaissance of insightful wonderment for you…. Honest, truthful, full of riveting facts and figures…testimonials and affidavits… I might even be able to rustle up a half time performance from Beyonce. I’m kidding, I tried but she was already booked.
Actually, the only thing above that I can guarantee one hundred percent is the honest and truthful part. Do you know why that part is going to be easy ? Well, because if you wanted to check anything out for yourself, you can and you can do it for free.
I am in my second year as a member of this world renowned, cutting edge platform. In that time I have taken full advantage of everything that it has to offer and it has a lot to offer. In this time I have amassed over three hundred posts and risen through the ranks. It is more than just a platform, it’s a community and a home.
What sets Wealthy Affiliate apart from the majority and puts them at the forefront of the Affiliate Marketing industry, is that Kyle and Carson, the founders, are pioneers and have been since 2005. They have created a platform that is dedicated to providing you and me, truth be told I am still a novice, with a place to learn and build a business that can change your life and your future. Don’t expect that to happen overnight though, it’s not a ‘get-rich-quick’ set-up.
All the necessary tools, training and support are provided for your success, all you have to do is put in the hard work.
Rather than going into a long (I have been known to waffle if given the opportunity) spiel about me and how I came across Wealthy Affiliate, I will just give you a very brief background.
I set up twack.com in the hope of helping to create more kindness in the world. One of the facets is the concept of paying it forward. This has been no easy task and life and stuff has slowed my progress. Upon finding Wealthy Affiliate, I made the decision to really try to push forward. I was going to have a change of direction.
I had a chance encounter with a ‘scam’ e-mail. You know the type. The one that promises you the opportunity to earn $$$ per week and never have to do more than a couple of hours of work for it. The mastermind is about to retire and only has a few places left on his system. Act now before it’s too late, blah, blah, blah.
For whatever reason, I clicked on the link and sat in a semi-comatose state for about 10 minutes before finally deciding I would rather eat my foot than carry on watching. I was intrigued though, to see if there was any credence to the claims. In my heart I knew there wouldn’t be. I searched the name and found a review. It was a really well written review and outlined pretty much what I already knew. You possibly could make money but that would be after you’d piled a lot more than the $29.99 fee that was needed to embark on this chance of a lifetime.
Towards the end of the review, there was a link to a ‘Genuine Opportunity To Make Money Online’. I had been impressed with the author’s account, he could just have slated the product, yet he didn’t but he did explain why it wasn’t all that it said it was. I liked that. So I clicked the link, to see what the ‘Genuine Opportunity’ was, and the rest, as the cliche goes, is history
Best I talk About Wealthy Affiliate
See what I mean about waffling ?I haven’t even begun to talk about Wealthy Affiliate yet. I will refer to it as WA from here on in, it might be quicker. What kind of host would I be if you started to nod off.
If I am to write a ‘proper’ review I am expected to fulfill certain criteria, give you all the facts and figures. Best I get to it then. Conformity was never my strong suit, so I’m going to do it my way. Back to the story.
I followed the link and found, well I found digital gold. Of course, I liked the idea of making money online but I was also interested in revamping my personal endeavour with my own website. The first thing that surprised me was that you could actually sign up for free, nada, zip, no cost. You don’t even have to provide any credit card details, just an e-mail address.
That gives you seven days of ‘Access All Areas’. After the seven days are up, you can still stay as a free member, if you so desire, though you no longer have full access. Still, not a bad deal, seeing as it’s cost you nothing.
I am always put off by any program that requires your credit card details, just to have a look. So, that was pretty cool. I was in and could have a proper look round and it hadn’t cost me anything. Well the surprises didn’t stop there. I could also have two websites, for free, mine to keep forever, and ever, and ever. This has since changed. Now you get one free website, which is still pretty awesome, especially as it’s hosted by one of the leading hosting platforms. ‘SiteRubix’
Still looking for a catch ? I was, but as yet hadn’t found it. I never did find it and that’s because there isn’t one.
Next, ten free lessons on how to set-up and create your website, for free. That’s right, it’s still free.
I could just stop there because if that doesn’t interest you then you must be waiting for the bit that says you also get a free house, a car, membership to the country club and…Bit harsh ? Sorry, my bad.
Let me just recap. You can join Wealthy Affiliate as a ‘Free Starter’, get full access to the site for seven days, have your very own website and be taught how to set it up, so that you can begin your journey into affiliate marketing.
More of the ‘Special Stuff’
Wealthy Affiliate is not ‘League of Gentlemen’ but it is in a league of its’ own. Swiftly moving on. A few facts and figures then.
Owners: Kyle & Carson
Users: 1.6 million
Website Build: Yes
That was exciting then, not. See what happens when I start following recommendations. Time to switch back, methinks.
So, Kyle and Carson, who were already online successes, started the site way back in 2005. They wanted to help people set up their own online business. In doing this, they kind of created a ‘One Stop Online Shop’. Everything you need to get started is right here on the platform.
If you decide you like what you see after the free period, you can opt to go ‘Premium’ then you can enjoy all the benefits all the time. Even better than that, is the fact that the first month is discounted to just $19. In effect, you get five weeks for that one payment of $19. Hard to beat, even in today’s competitive world.
You can purchase and host your own ‘Domain’ website at WA. No need to go anywhere else, also worth noting is that the pricing policy does not fluctuate. Unlike other hosting sites, where they lure you in with a low price and then up it every year onwards. At WA, the price is fixed, year in, year out.
You can host up to ten sites. That’s right, ten. These can either be paid for ones ‘dot com’ ‘dot org’ etc. Or the free Site Rubix ones.
Then, there’s the built in website builder. Choose from a huge amount of themes and let the software set up your site ready for you to add content and ‘tweak’ as you see fit. This literally takes minutes.
Now your site is up and running you can use the dedicated content creation tool. Not only does it let you work as if you were on a word processor you can add graphics and choose from over one million free images.
There are two sets of training. The first is The Online Entrepreneur Certification which has 5 levels and fifty separate lessons all designed to give you the best possible start in the online world. The second is ‘Boot Camp’ which is a more intense training regime and designed, in part, for those of you who would like to promote Wealthy Affiliate itself. That isn’t a bad idea, as the commission, or compensation plan, is exceptional within the industry.
To help and assist you along the way is ‘JAAXY’ which is a phenomenal resource. As they themselves say:
“Jaaxy, Your Competitive Edge Starts Here. Jaaxy is the industry’s only keyword and research platform that was developed by affiliate marketers FOR affiliate marketers.”
That saves me trying to explain what it is. If you know what SEO, SERPS and other acronyms are, then you’ll probably already know how ground-breaking Jaaxy is.
The latest addition to an already ‘star-studded’ line up, is the ‘Affiliate Programs’ section of the platform. This gives you access to ten of thousands of affiliate programs. You can just search for the area you’re interested in, be that Sports & Leisure, Clothing & Accessories, Department Stores, to name but a few. It doesn’t get much simpler than this.
If, that’s not enough, there is also ‘Site Support’ which is a bunch of ridiculously ‘tech savvy’ individuals who are there to help with any technical issues you may have. They are well quick. I might have needed their help occasionally and each time they have resolved whatever issue I have had, in no time.
You can also ‘Earn While You Learn’. There are a number of ways you can earn through Wealthy Affiliate itself. You can earn credits or cash by leaving comments on other members sites through the ‘Site Comments’ section. You can also earn by creating training videos and tutorials.
To add even more to this huge list, you get your own personal referral links, so if someone comes onto the site through one of your referral links you get a commission and that never stops for as long as they remain a member. Every time they renew their subscription you get paid. How awesome is that ?
If That’s Not Enough
I’ve saved the best for last. On top of everything you get, there are two more aspects that are well worth bearing in mind.
You get to be part of one of the biggest, most knowledgeable and helpful communities out there. Not only are they huge in size, they are ‘gargantuan’ when it comes to experience. Even more than that, they want to help you. I’m not just saying that, they really do. You may have wondered why my joining was along the lines of serendipitous well it’s because the whole ethos of the Wealthy Affiliate community is one of ‘Paying It Forward.’ Everyone wants everyone else to succeed. Period.
I have never come across a community like it. They are on hand 24/7 to help and advise whenever you ask, they even advocate for you if they can’t help personally. It really is humbling. You will meet members who have already reached the upper echelons of success and are still willing to give up their time to help and advise others.
So, on to the last one, at least for now. I’m sure I’ve missed something. You get me, that’s right, I am there right now. I have a daily routine that means I will be there to help and assist whenever I can and if I can’t, I will point you in the right direction.
One Last Thing, Promise.
Compared to some other members here at Wealthy Affiliate, I am a relative newcomer. Yet with help of the community I have become prolific. I have thrived. This platform has allowed me to discover a part of myself that I didn’t even realise existed. I have a newfound desire to write and write and write, and then write some more. With the encouragement of other members I now have the beginnings of a number of projects in the literary realm. Before I found Wealthy Affiliate, I never knew I had it in me, it has been teased out through the constant endorsements of fellow members.
Did I mention that I’m currently a WA Ambassador ? That’s who you’ll be joining, Ambassador Twack. It basically means that within the internal WA ranking system I am residing in the top 25. Your rank is determined by three metrics. How helpful you are, how creative you are and your general level of activity on the platform. Come and be part of my network, it’ll be a blast.
This could be you. There used to be a saying that everyone has at least one book in them, now I think it’s more along the line of ‘we all have one website in us’. Time to lay claim to your very own piece of digital real estate.
So, do I recommend Wealthy Affiliate ? Without question, yes. I have found my ‘Digital Home’. I have seen and tried other schemes that promise the earth and they seldom deliver. Wealthy Affiliate will not promise you that you will be become a success overnight. It will, however, provide you with all the tools and resources you need. You, will have to provide the hard work.
So, if after all my meandering you are still unsure, try it out, remember it’s free. What do you have to lose ?
If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to leave a comment and I will be sure to get back to you as soon as I can. If I can’t help, I will find someone that can, and I have quite a few choose from.
