11 Comments to Twack Says Working From Home Is A Good Thing (Directors Cut)

  1. Working from home has many advantages. I only find one disadvantage, which is the social connections. Since you work from home, you don’t see too many people sometimes. So if you are bothered by that, maybe you should get out. A it, to see people. But rather than it, it only gives good stuff, and the most important part.. No stress ! I’m working from home for a while now, and really I never want to do anything else anymore. Anyway, I liked your article, and I liked to read it.

    1. Hey Emmanuel, thanks for taking the time to comment, always appreciated. I think you raise a valid point. Let’s face it, sometimes our business associates are also our friends and people we may well share time with outside of the workplace. Working from home can be solitary and if you’re gregarious then you might find it difficult. It’s a balance at the end of the day and you have to weigh-up the pros and cons. Over many years of working different jobs I have found that the relationships forged in the workplace don’t always last after you have moved on, even when you try and stay in touch. One bonus is that working from home means you can choose your social times with a bit more flexibility, although you do have to be more disciplined. Check out the first post in this series, as a reminder of what you’re missing and why you’ve made the right choice.

  2. Hi, Romero.
When I started reading your article on working from home, I just got swayed away as it was like a novel.
Your personal feelings an experiences regarding work from home seemed so natural as if it is every affiliates story. But you mentioned it correct- we must take a note to understand that this position would have been achieved after how much of oil burned in the night, continuous and persistent efforts to churn the contents and making the learning curve the habit of our life – ultimately leading to success , or I would say ‘Champions’.
It was very interesting read, thanks for your unique style Romero.
    Warm Regards,

    1. Gaurav Gaur, I’m so glad you took the time to read my post and comment. You have ‘nailed it’ as they say. This lifestyle doesn’t happen overnight and to get it you have to make sacrifices. Not going out as often and late nights in working are not uncommon. All that being said, it is worth it in the end.

      Be well.

  3. Twack,

This is the life I am working so hard for right now. It is the life I have been looking for since my early 20s.
I joined Wealthy Affiliate 2 months ago, and I now own 2 domains and 5 websites.

The community is beyond awesome. The training is in-depth and easy to absorb. And ongoing.
Today I slept until nearly 2 pm. I got up, gave my son a bath, took a nice hot shower, and sat down at my computer. After a few hours of work, I started cooking dinner.
Every few minutes Young Mister would come over for something A hug, a kiss or to ask for more food (bananas, sandwich, popsicle) or to go outside.
Because of the mode of work, I am engaged in, I was able to stop what I was doing and tend to his needs.

This is the life I want.

Thank you for this enjoyable post. I love your writing style.

    1. Hi Gwendolyn, you are the perfect advocate for working from home. From your description you have made it sound idyllic. I’m hoping more and more people out there have the opportunity to do this, to live life on their terms. Sure it’s always going to be a bit scary but it doesn’t have to be. Anything new is always going to make you feel a bit unsure but the benefits far outweigh any jitters they might have.
Wealthy Affiliate has indeed provided the chance to have this lifestyle and I’m so pleased you found it and are flourishing. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your wonderful day.

      Be well.

  5. Thank you for this very informative post. I totally agree that working from home is a total life changer.
Furthermore, I myself have been working on making money from home while maintaining a part-time job, and with proper time management, anyone can do it! And yes, you are totally right about the fact that this can’t happen after one or two months, it requires persistence and hard work, but I can assure you that anyone can work from home and run a free life with the right mindset and commitment!
Do you think repeating the same routine every day will decrease your working performance at home?

    1. You are very welcome, it was a pleasure to write this post as I know it will help some make the decision to work from home. Good for you, going for it. Working from home and having a part-time job is hard in itself but it does provide a little extra security while you are building up that extra income. You can’t go far wrong with persistence and hard work. Having a daily routine is a good thing, as it makes the best use of your time, that being said it is important not to become complacent. It is harder in some respects because you are the boss and need to have a word with yourself every now and then if you start to ease off.

      Be well.

  6. Hi, Twack. You have painted a very beautiful picture of working from home and I like that. Ha ha…I know it still needs hard work but it is worth to try to find out if it suits the lifestyle as everyone has a lifestyle that suits them. It is worthwhile when we can earn even while sleeping. Nice article, Twack!

    1. Well I say thank you for your kind words. Personally it works for me and I’m glad I made the choice to at least try it. If you never try, how will you ever know what’s in store. I’m sure it’s not for everyone but I think out of those who try, few will ever go back to how it was before.

      Be well.
